November 2010 sees the launch of the new newspaper The Waqt. The Waqt is an Asian newspaper targeting the vast audience located in the West Midlands region. To compliment the site a full news based website was also launched that contains up to date news and events regionally and globally.
The Waqt taps into a unique market and provides the Asian communities with a local Asian newspaper that is both in English and Urdu. There was a gap in the market to provide a predominantly Urdu based newspaper to cater for the Urdu speaking BUT also to provide an English editorial for those who were not fluent in Urdu within the same paper.
